Experience is Power
Our sales team has almost 100 years of combined industry experience. Kriem Michel, National Sales Manager, herself has almost 20 years’ experience marketing and selling mulch colorants. She initially gained her knowledge by working for a large chemical company, managing their Landscape Products Group.

Our sales team provides a lot of experience to each and every one of our customers, and I am proud of the sales team we have assembled,” said Kriem.
Brian Shea, President and Owner of T.H. Glennon, provides the “one-two punch” that no other mulch colorant manufacturer can deliver. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Lowell, and has worked in the textile and coatings industry for more than 30 years. Brian worked on developing the original mulch colorant formulas, and spent hundreds of hours at customers’ locations, testing our Colorfast Colorants. Brian also designed the #1 Mulch Color Jet, the first compact coloring unit in the industry.
Early on, Shea understood the moisture content and properties of different types of wood mulch from across the country. With a strong background in manufacturing, Shea understood how to efficiently run a mulch coloring site and introduce color to create the best colored mulch with the highest yields. No other company in the industry has a business owner with the technical and field experience that Brian Shea brings to the industry.
Building a Respected and Profitable Sales Organization
Many years ago, Brian’s first mulch colorant sales team hire was Kriem Michel. Brian knew Kriem well after having met her at multiple customer sites. (Yes, they were respectfully competing for the same business.)
It didn’t take long for Shea to come to respect Kriem and her ability to understand the customers’ coloring needs while building and maintaining excellent customer relationships. At the same time, Kriem was impressed with Shea’s work ethic and strong understanding of the customers’ equipment and coloring requirements.
Within a year of meeting each other, Kriem came to work for T.H. Glennon and has built one of the most respected sales organizations in the industry.
